Karen Green

Karen has a varied background in marketing and communications.

Prior to joining Rebus, she was (simultaneously) marketing director for J. Gordon Shillingford Publishing in Winnipeg, projects coordinator for the Association of Manitoba Book Publishers and editor at Prairie Books Now.

Before that, she was publicist at Manitoba Theatre for Young People for several years. And, before that, she studied and studied, obtaining an MA in religious studies (major in Hinduism) and a two-year communications diploma (major in journalism).

She’s also been known to work a few Fringes, Improv festivals and other miscellaneous gigs across the country. And, over the past several years, she’s received a few writing grants to support a bit of poetic scribbling.

On non-Rebus days, there have been sightings of her at the Anvil Press / subTerrain office wearing a different hat or two.
